The Passenger Transport Network (RTP) of Mexico City announces the launch of a new route that will benefit the residents of the Álvaro Obregón and Cuajimalpa municipalities. This new line, called '9D', will run from the Santa Fe Shopping Center to San Bartolo Ameyalco (Cafeteros) and will have an extension of 20 kilometers.

During the launch event for the route, the general director of the RTP, Sergio Benito Osorio Romero, noted that these new routes were created following the instruction of the Head of Government, Clara Brugada, with the aim of reaching the towns and peripheral neighborhoods of Mexico City. Brugada emphasized the importance of providing good service to these places, highlighting their contribution to the city's identity and strength.

The expansion of Route 115 is also part of these initiatives, as a trial will soon begin to extend its route from Metro Chapultepec to Las Águilas, which means a growth of nine kilometers in both directions, benefiting various neighborhoods such as San Mateo, Santa Rosa Xochiac, and Santa Lucía in San Bartolo Ameyalco.

Regarding schedules, the transport units of the new route will operate Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 00:00, Saturdays from 06:00 to 22:00, and Sundays and holidays from 07:00 to 22:00. As for the cost, users will need to pay 4 pesos per trip using the integrated mobility card. A fee exemption is contemplated for people with disabilities and seniors as part of measures to ensure the mobility of the citizens who need it the most.
